President's rule was withdrawn in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday (October 13, 2024), paving the way for the formation of a new government in the Union Territory. "In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 73 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019 (34 of 2019) read with Articles 239 and 239A of the Constitution of India, the order dated the 31st October, 2019 in relation to the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir shall stand revoked immediately before the appointment of the chief minister under Section 54 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019," the notification signed by President Droupadi Murmu said.

જમ્મુ અને કાશ્મીરમાં રવિવારે (13 ઓક્ટોબર, 2024) રાષ્ટ્રપતિ શાસન પાછું ખેંચી લેવામાં આવ્યું હતું, જેનાથી કેન્દ્રશાસિત પ્રદેશમાં નવી સરકારની રચનાનો માર્ગ મોકળો થયો હતો. "ભારતના બંધારણની કલમ 239 અને 239A સાથે વાંચવામાં આવેલ જમ્મુ અને કાશ્મીર પુનર્ગઠન અધિનિયમ, 2019 (2019 ના 34) ની કલમ 73 દ્વારા આપવામાં આવેલી સત્તાઓનો ઉપયોગ કરીને, કેન્દ્રશાસિત પ્રદેશના સંબંધમાં 31મી ઓક્ટોબર, 2019 ના રોજનો આદેશ જમ્મુ અને કાશ્મીર પુનર્ગઠન અધિનિયમ, 2019 ની કલમ 54 હેઠળ મુખ્ય પ્રધાનની નિમણૂક પહેલાં તરત જ જમ્મુ અને કાશ્મીર પુનર્ગઠન એક્ટને રદ કરવામાં આવશે," રાષ્ટ્રપતિ દ્રૌપદી મુર્મુ દ્વારા હસ્તાક્ષર કરાયેલ નોટિફિકેશનમાં જણાવ્યું હતું.
